Wow, you did an amazing job on the shading! It's funny, with the cartoony style it still seems to look like it could be a photograph.
Also, the attention to detail is very impressive- the shirt/arm bands alone must have taken days.

Man, it's pretty amazing what some people can do with 3d programs. It's always interesting to see the process one has to go through to come out with a finished product, too.
Anyways, the character design is fun and quirky, and the lighting is perfect. Great job! :)
